The Spirit of Wisdom (1)
Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional
Date: Sunday, 14 September 2025
Topic: The Spirit of Wisdom (1)
Focus: The Source of True Wisdom
🔥 Message:
In a world full of noise, confusion, and competing voices, wisdom is not optional—it is essential. Human reasoning may appear clever, but only divine wisdom leads to life, direction, and destiny. James 1:5 assures us: “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.”
The Spirit of Wisdom is not just about making good choices—it is about living guided by the Holy Spirit in every decision, relationship, and season of life. Through this 7-day devotional, we will discover how to seek, receive, and walk in divine wisdom that brings clarity, peace, and breakthrough.
📖 Key Verse:
James 1:5 (NIV): “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.”
Devotional:
True wisdom does not begin with education, experience, or intellect—it begins with God. Scripture declares: “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.” — (Proverbs 9:10) The world offers information, but only God gives revelation. Human reasoning is limited by perspective, culture, and time, but divine wisdom flows from the One who sees the end from the beginning. Solomon, the wisest man in Scripture, didn’t ask God for riches or fame—he asked for wisdom (1 Kings 3:9). And God was pleased to grant it. His story reminds us that wisdom is not earned but given, and it comes from the Source Himself.
📖 Scripture Reading:
Proverbs 9:10 – The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.
James 1:5 – Ask God for wisdom, and He will give generously.
1 Kings 3:9–12 – Solomon asks for wisdom.
💧 Refreshing for the Day:
So, beloved, if you want to walk in wisdom, you must first acknowledge God as the fountain of all wisdom. Ask Him daily, and He will not withhold it. He gives generously to all who seek with a sincere heart. Wisdom begins not with self, but with surrender to God. Stay Refreshed!
