The Spirit of the Fear of the Lord (6)

Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional

Date: Friday, 24 October 2025

Topic: The Spirit of the Fear of the Lord (6)

Focus: The Reward of the Fear of the Lord

🔥 Message:

The Fear of the Lord is not terror—it is reverence, awe, and holy submission to God’s majesty. It is the posture of heart that says, “Lord, I honor You above all.” To walk in the fear of the Lord is to live conscious of His presence, careful with His Word, and captivated by His holiness. Proverbs 9:10 declares: “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.”

Beloved, this is not the fear that drives you away from God—it’s the fear that draws you closer, knowing He is holy yet merciful, mighty yet near. So, over the next seven days, we will journey into the sacred beauty of holy reverence—learning how this Spirit transforms how we pray, serve, love, and live.

📖 Key Verse:

Proverbs 9:10 (NKJV): “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.”

Devotional:
The Spirit of the Fear of the Lord does not only preserve you—it rewards you. Those who walk in holy reverence toward God never lose; they are entrusted with wisdom, favor, protection, and long life. Proverbs 22:4 says: “By humility and the fear of the Lord are riches, honor, and life.” Every time you choose reverence over rebellion, humility over pride, and obedience over compromise, Heaven takes note. The fear of the Lord positions you for divine promotion because it proves that God can trust you.

📖 Scripture Reading:
Proverbs 22:4 – The fear of the Lord brings riches, honor, and life.
Psalm 34:9 – “Fear the Lord, you His saints, for those who fear Him lack nothing.”
Acts 9:31 – The Church multiplied, walking in the fear of the Lord.

💧 Refreshing for the Day:
Joseph’s reverence for God preserved him in temptation and elevated him in destiny. Daniel’s fear of the Lord distinguished him in Babylon and brought him favor before kings. The early Church walked in this fear, and the Lord “added to their number daily” (Acts 9:31). The rewards of holy fear are not just earthly—they are eternal. Those who honor God now will share in His glory forever. Reverence for God is never wasted—it opens doors to His richest rewards. Stay Refreshed!

Note This:
🔥 The fear of the Lord doesn’t take from you; it sets you up for overflow.

🛡️ Responsibility:
✅ Reflect on one area of your life where you’ve chosen reverence over convenience. Thank God for the unseen rewards that follow those who fear Him.

🙏 Prayer:
Lord, thank You for the blessings and favor that flow from walking in holy fear. Keep my heart humble and reverent, that I may always live under Your pleasure and protection. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

🔥 Prophetic Declaration:
I am rewarded by reverence! The fear of the Lord opens doors, releases favor, and fills my life with abundance, honor, and peace. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
