The Silence Between Instructions

Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional

Date: Monday, 15 June 2026

Topic: The Things God Didn’t Explain (2)

 Focus: The Silence Between Instructions

🔥Theme:

Trusting God when He gives instructions without explanations.

📖 Key Verse:
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.” — Proverbs 3:5

Devotional:

One of the most uncomfortable places in the life of faith is the silence between instructions. God speaks. You obey. And then… Silence. No new direction. No fresh revelation. No explanation of what comes next. Just silence. This is where many believers become restless. We are comfortable when God is speaking. We are encouraged when God is moving. But when heaven becomes quiet, questions begin to multiply. “Did I miss something?” “Is God still with me?” “Why isn’t He saying anything?” Yet throughout Scripture, some of God’s greatest servants experienced long periods of silence.

📖 Scripture Reading:

  • Habakkuk 2:1–3 — Wait for the vision
  • Psalm 27:14 — Wait on the Lord
  • John 20:29 — Blessed are those who believe without seeing

💧 Refreshing for the Day:

Joseph received a dream, and then came years of silence. David received an anointing, and then came years of waiting. Abraham received a promise, and then came years without visible fulfillment. The silence was not God’s absence. It was God’s process. Sometimes God becomes quiet because He has already said enough for the current season. The issue is not that God has stopped speaking. The issue is that He is waiting for us to continue walking in what He already said. Many people are asking for a new word while neglecting the last one. The silence between instructions is often where trust matures. Because faith is not proven when God is speaking. Faith is proven when God has spoken—and you continue obeying.

Note This:

🌙 God’s silence does not mean God has left. Sometimes God becomes quiet because He is watching what you do with what He already said.

🛡️ Responsibility:

Review the last clear instruction God gave you and make sure you are faithfully walking in it.

🙏 Prayer:

Father, help me trust You in seasons of silence. When I do not hear new instructions, teach me to remain faithful to the ones You have already given. Strengthen my faith and help me wait with confidence. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

🔥 Prophetic Declaration:

God is with me even in the silence. I will remain faithful, trust His timing, and continue walking in obedience until the next instruction comes. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
