THE PROMISE OF THE MESSIAH (3)
Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional
Date: Friday, 13 December 2024
Focus: The Star Out of Jacob
In Numbers, God spoke through Balaam to foretell the coming of a star out of Jacob—a ruler who would arise to bring salvation. This prophecy was fulfilled in Jesus, whose birth was announced by the appearance of a bright star that led the wise men to Him. The star symbolizes hope, guidance, and the fulfillment of God’s promise. Advent reminds us that Jesus is the light who leads us to the Father.
Scripture Reading:
Numbers 24:17 – “I see him, but not now; I behold him, but not near. A star will come out of Jacob; a scepter will rise out of Israel.”
Refreshing for the Day:
Today, focus on Jesus as the Light of the World. Thank Him for guiding you through life’s uncertainties and for being the fulfillment of God’s promises.
Note This:
The Star of Jacob points us to Jesus, the light who leads us out of darkness and into God’s truth.
Responsibility:
How can you follow Jesus’ light more closely today? Who in your life needs to see the light of Christ through you?
Prayer:
O Lord, thank You for being my guiding light. Help me to follow You faithfully and to reflect Your light to others. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
Prophetic Declaration:
I declare that Jesus is my light and guide. I walk in His truth and reflect His hope to those around me. In Jesus; name, Amen!
