Beloved, one other key to accessing the good things in life is giving God the best part of you. You see, there’s a whole lot about giving God the best part of you. It begins with having the knowledge of God, because you can never give your best to who you don’t know. But you may ask, “why must we give God the best part of us, and how is it a key to every good thing in life?” Now, let’s see the words of the prophet Haggai in Haggai 1:9-10, he said,
SCRIPTURE: You looked for much, and behold, it came to little. And when you brought it home, I blew it away. Why? declares the LORD of hosts. Because of my house that lies in ruins, while each of you busies himself with his own house. Therefore, the heavens above you have withheld the dew, and the earth has withheld its produce… (Haggai 1:9-10 ESV)
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: And so, the simple answer to your question is, sequel to the insights from the anchor Scripture, when you give God the best part of yourself, He will be your God (Rev 21:7, Ex 6:7) and will supply to you every good thing you need in life (Phil 4:19). We give God the best by glorifying God in our worship, by caring for our own people with needs and by reaching out to our community and world (Matt 25:40). Stay Refreshed!
NOTE THIS: The secret to a happy life is giving God the first part of your day, the first priority to every decision you make, and the first place in your life.
RESPONSIBILITY: So, make up your mind to put God first in all that you do in life and give Him the best part of yourself.
PRAYER: O LORD, I repent of my ignorance as I pray, from today on I will always put You first in all that I do. Please give me the grace to give You the best part of me, in Jesus’ name, Amen!
PROPHETIC WORD: As you begin to give God the best part of yourself, May He become your God and supply to you every good thing that you need in life, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
