THE CRY FOR REVIVAL: BIRTHING A MOVE OF GOD (1)
Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional
Date: Wednesday, 12 March 2025
Focus: The Burden for Revival
Message:
Revival doesn’t come by accident—it comes through hunger, sacrifice, and prayer. Every move of God in history was birthed by men and women who refused to settle for a lukewarm existence. This devotional series will ignite a hunger for revival in your life and stir you to cry out for God to move in your generation.
Key Verse:
📖 Habakkuk 3:2 – “Lord, I have heard of your fame… Renew them in our day!”
Revival does not start in a nation—it starts in a heart. Every great move of God begins with a burden—a deep cry for more of Him. Moses refused to move without God’s presence (Exodus 33:15). Hannah’s cry for a child birthed a prophet (1 Samuel 1:10-11). Nehemiah wept for the broken walls of Jerusalem before rebuilding them (Nehemiah 1:4).
Scripture Reading:
📖 Psalm 42:1 – “As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, my God.”
Refreshing for the Day:
Many people never see revival because they don’t hunger for more—Comfort kills the cry for revival. They don’t weep over sin—True revival starts with repentance. They are satisfied with yesterday’s move—But God wants to do something NEW! So, beloved, do you have a burden for revival? If not, ask God for one today! Let God break your heart for what breaks His. Cry out for revival! Stay Refreshed!
Note This:
Before revival touches nations, it must touch hearts.
Responsibility:
- Spend at least 10 minutes in prayer today asking God for a fresh hunger for revival.
- Identify areas in your life, church, or nation where you long to see God move.
Prayer:
Lord, I refuse to be comfortable with spiritual dryness. Give me a burden for revival! Break my heart for what breaks Yours. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
Prophetic Declaration:
I declare that revival starts with me! I will hunger, pray, and cry out until God moves! In Jesus’ name, Amen!
Bible Texts:
Habakkuk 3:2, Psalm 42:1
