So, beloved, when we seek the face of God unreservedly, God shows Himself and bless us immensely. However, one thing must stand out clearly when we seek the face of God. We do not seek God only to give Him a list of wants and needs, rather we seek God in truth and sincerity of heart. We seek God to see His Glory and His beauty, to behold His presence, His wonderous majesty and grandeur. The presence of God is heaven Psalm 16:11). And no one who had experienced it would ever remain the same again. No wonder, the Psalmist thundered out in joy and exclaimed in chapter 27:4,
SCRIPTURE: One thing I have asked of the LORD; this is what I desire: to dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the LORD and seek Him in His temple. (Psalm 27:4 BSB)
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: When we seek the face of God with all our heart, God will always smile on us. In the day of trouble, He will hide us in His shelter; when the enemy comes after us, He will conceal us under the cover of His tent; and when life beats us hard, He will pick us up and set us high upon a rock (Psalm 27:5). Stay Refreshed!
NOTE THIS: Seeking God’s face means desiring to know His character and wanting Him—His presence—more than any other thing He can give us.
RESPONSIBILITY: So again, dearly beloved, let’s us learn to seek God’s face daily in our lives.
PRAYER: O LORD, I seek thy face daily, cause me to find You and let your face shine upon me, in Jesus’ name, Amen!
PROPHETIC WORD: As you seek the face of God in your life, may the Lord be gracious to you and smile on you, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
