TOPIC: GIVE AWAY WHAT YOU NEED (2)

So, beloved, the way to get what you want in life is by giving away what you need. This rare principle can also be applied in our prayer lives. You see, we’re too monopolistic in our prayers. We may be praying and trusting God for one thing or the other, and we might have been waiting for the answers for a long time now. Just may be the answers to our prayers are with the needs of other people. So, instead of praying for ourselves alone, we must also learn to pray for our friends, neighbors and colleagues. And going all out to be a solution to the problem others. Just as it’s recorded in James 5:16, it says,

SCRIPTURE: Therefore, confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed… (James 5:16 NIV)

REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: So, beloved, it’s not just enough to pray for yourself alone, while you pray for yourself, put efforts to pray for others too. While you’re waiting for something to open up, go out and help others. Help the community around you. Put that same passion you would for your own to lift others up. And the same intensity for the development of the world around you. When you do all these, then God would answer your own prayers. Stay Refreshed!

NOTE THIS: Sometimes, God doesn’t send to us the answers and the results we so seek, He sends to us a need. And as a matter of fact, it’s the needs of the people.

RESPONSIBILITY: So, beloved, ask God for the grace to develop the hunger for the need of other people. And learn to be passionate about it, not just for what you want.

PRAYER: Oh Lord, give me the grace to develop the hunger and desire for the need of others, in Jesus’s name, Amen!

PROPHETIC WORD: As you seek to develop the hunger and the desire for the needs of others, may the Lord be your help in times of need, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
