THE BIG NEWS
TIMES OF REFRESHING ONLINE DAILY DEVOTIONAL www.thefountspring.org
DATE: SATURDAY, 28 AUGUST 2021
We’re all fascinated about achieving ground breaking scenes; a talk of the century events. We crave to do great things to remain insuperable, as long as the news is everywhere, our memoir printed boldly in the almighty Guinness book of record, it’s the big news. We could do anything to achieve it, go extra miles to make it happen. But have we considered THE REAL BIG NEWS?
SCRIPTURE: Just so, I tell you, there is joy before the angels of God over one sinner who repents. (Luke 15:10) ESV
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: Repentance of a sinner is the only affair that makes God to smile and angels to rejoice.
The big news is not when someone has built and dedicated a five-star mansion, it’s not when we won a business contract or got a new promotion. The big news is when a sinner repents. You know, we think so lightly of it, we don’t think much of it. But that’s the greatest and biggest news of all time. That’s the news that causes the angels to sing. That’s the news that causes the capital of the whole universe to rejoice.
Beloved, some of the things that are happening right now in the world that are making bold headlines may not even be in the newspapers in Heaven, if they have newspapers up there. Are you willing to be part of those that would cause the angels to sing and make Heaven to rejoice? Then you need to repent from your sinful ways. You are so precious to God. He grieves over every loss and rejoices whenever one of His children is found and brought into the kingdom. Make that great decision today and make the big news in Heaven. Stay Lifted!
NOTE THIS: Repentance of a sinner is the only affair that makes God to smile and angels to rejoice.
RESPONSIBILITY: Say No to sin and YES to Christ.
PRAYER: O LORD JESUS, I’m sorry for my sins. Come into my life and make me a new creature, in the name of Jesus’ Amen! (Go ahead and continue to pray)
PROPHETIC WORD: As you’ve accepted Jesus today as Your LORD and Savior, may He continue to be the LORD over your life, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
BIBLE TEXTS: Luke 15:10, 2 Cor 5:17
