THE BEAUTY OF HIS PRESENCE
TIMES OF REFRESHING
ONLINE DAILY DEVOTIONAL by Obiorah Prince Emeka
DATE: SATURDAY, 3 OCTOBER 2020
The safest place in the Earth is the presence of God. The sweet aroma of the Presence of the Living God is comparable to nothing else in this present life. In the presence of God there is fullness of joy (Psalms 16:11). In His presence there is peace, deliverance, healing, succor, and liberty.
SCRIPTURE:
How lovely is your dwelling place, LORD Almighty! My soul yearns, even faints, for the courts of the LORD; my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God. (Psalms 84:1-2, NIV)
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY:
The cry of the heart of any Christian should be, “that I may dwell in His presence all the days of my life.”
However, this is oftentimes not the case. Sometimes we hide from the presence of God because His presence sheds light on the dark and secret areas of our lives. We run from God like Adam did when they disobeyed God, when in fact, we should be running towards him to restore us.
The enemy tries to rob us of sweet communion with God when we err by filling our minds with the lies that God does not want to commune with us anymore. When the truth is that God Himself calls us to come to him so we can reason together (Isaiah 1:18). He extends the hand of reconciliation because God desires intimacy with us.
Beloved, are you running from the sweetest place to be? What is causing you to hide from the Presence of God? Let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us (Hebrews 12:1) so we can enjoy unhindered access to the throneroom of God. Stay lifted.
NOTE THIS:
The cry of the heart of any Christian should be, “that I may dwell in His presence all the days of my life.”
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.) Make a decision today to intentionally avoid and flee from whatever hinders your communion with God.
2.)Cherish the presence of God.
PRAYER:
O LORD, forgive me my sins and restore my passion for your presence, in Jesus name, Amen! (Go ahead and continue to pray)
PROPHETIC WORD:
I decree freedom from every works of darkness hindering your communion with God in the mighty name ofJesus, Amen.
