STOP WORRYING, START LIVING
TIMES OF REFRESHING
ONLINE DAILY DEVOTIONAL by Obiorah Prince Emeka
DATE: WEDNESDAY 30 DECEMBER 2020
Yes, the year may have come to an end; but you have your life to live. You might have many great plans and wonderful aspirations for the year; reminiscing all over again, you sincerely discover that some of those beautiful ambitions were not fulfilled. And you plunged yourself to worry.
Many Christians are addicted to worry. Worry has enslaved most people and send them to their early grave. Worry is a termite that eats a person up and relinquish him to oblivion. Worry is like a turbulent chair, it will give you something to do, but it will accomplish nothing for you. It will occupy your mind and thought, ravaging them beyond resuscitation.
Beloved, that uncompleted project, unfulfilled plans or that failed relationship doesn’t merit your worry.
SCRIPTURE:
Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? (Matthew 6:25) NIV
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY:
Worry is faith in fear.
Worrying is a lack of trust and not believing that God can come through in your situation to protect you, to provide for you, to heal your body, to deliver you, and to set you free. Our anchor scripture demonstrates the fact that since there is life, there is hope. The Word of God says in Joshua 1:9; “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
So, I encourage you today, STOP WORRYING, START LIVING. Submit your life totally to our Lord Jesus; sync and trust your plans to His will. He will deliver you from the addictions of worry that are destroying you, and break the chains of misery and habit that have enslaved you. Stay Refreshed!
NOTE THIS:
Worry is faith in fear.
RESPONSIBILITY:
Submit your life to God and live rightly.
PRAYER:
O LORD, give me the grace to live a worry-free life, in the name of Jesus’ Amen! (Go ahead and continue to pray)
PROPHETIC WORD:
May God grant all your heart desires according to His will, in the name of Jesus, Amen.
BIBLE TEXTS: Matt 6:25, Jos. 1:9
