SEEDS OF HONOR
TIMES OF REFRESHING ONLINE DAILY DEVOTIONAL www.thefountspring.org

We always expect much but we’re not willing to give much. This is because we’re yet to understand the principles of honor. Anytime we show honor we’re sowing a seed. The honor we pour on others will become the blessing that comes back to us. But with no honor there will be no blessing. With no honor, no promotion, no increase, no breakthrough. That’s to say, we will never receive what we’re not willing to give away.
SCRIPTURE: Love each other with genuine affection, and take delight in honoring each other. (Romans 12:10) NLT
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: Any time you show honor you are sowing a seed. The honor you give away will always come back to you.
In John 12, a woman came up to Jesus and poured a jar of expensive oil perfume on His feet and began to wash them. Oil represents honor. We could say she poured her honor on him. One of the disciples, Judas Iscariot saw this, got upset and said, “Why did she waste the oil? We could have used that to feed the poor”. Jesus said, “Don’t bother her. She has done the best thing”. This woman was known to be a sinner. Jesus looked at her and said, “Your sins have been forgiven”. Because she showed honor, favor came into her life.
Beloved, if you want to be honored, show honor to others. Everywhere you go you should look for opportunities to sow seeds of honor, to encourage people, and make them feel better about themselves. Stay Lifted!
NOTE THIS: Any time you show honor you are sowing a seed. The honor you give away will always come back to you.
RESPONSIBILITY: Make it a priority, look out for someone to honor.
PRAYER: O LORD, give me the grace for honor. Cause me to sow seeds of honor in others, in the name of Jesus’ Amen! (Go ahead and continue to pray)
PROPHETIC WORD: May God remember your good deeds and bless you beyond measure, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
