Rooted: Growing Deep Before Going Far (1)

Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional

Date: Sunday, 29 June 2025

Topic: Rooted: Growing Deep Before Going Far (1)

Focus: Planted By God

🔥 Message:

Before God launches you, He grounds you. This devotional series will help you embrace the beauty of spiritual formation, character development, and divine preparation. Like a tree, your destiny is determined by how deep your roots go. You were not made to wither under pressure — you were made to stand strong, grow tall, and bear lasting fruit. But first, you must be rooted.

📖 Key Verse:

“He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither—whatever they do prospers.” – Psalm 1:3 (NIV)

Devotional:
Before God sends you far, He plants you deep. In a world that celebrates speed and visibility, Heaven prioritizes depth and stability. The tallest trees have the deepest roots. Without strong roots, any growth is temporary, and any storm can topple greatness. Joseph had dreams of influence, but he had to be planted in the pit, the prison, and Potiphar’s house before he ever stood in Pharaoh’s palace. God was rooting character before revealing destiny. Jesus, too, spent 30 hidden years before 3 public ones. Why? Because lasting fruit doesn’t come from shallow soil.

📖 Scripture Reading:
Jeremiah 17:7–8 – “They will be like a tree planted by the water…”
Luke 2:52 – “And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature…”

💧 Refreshing for the Day:
Beloved, sometimes, your “delay” is God’s planting. He is preparing your foundation so you can bear fruit in every season. So, don’t despise the process of being hidden. In hiddenness, God forms the unseen roots of prayer, character, and intimacy that will sustain you when doors open. To go far, you must first go deep. Depth always comes before destiny. Don’t rush what God is rooting in you. Stay Refreshed!

Note This:
Public promotion without private formation is a setup for collapse.

🛡️ Responsibility:
✅ Identify one hidden place or season in your life right now. Instead of complaining, ask: What is God rooting in me here? Write it down and thank Him for it.

🙏 Prayer:
Father, thank You for planting me deep. Even when I feel hidden, I trust that You are forming something lasting in me. Strengthen my roots in Your Word, in prayer, and in obedience. Help me grow deep before I ever go far. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

🔥 Prophetic Declaration:
I am planted in God’s purpose! My roots go deep in truth, love, and faith. I will not wither in dry seasons. I bear fruit in due time, because I am rooted in Christ! Alleluia!

📖 Bible Texts:

Psalm 1:1-3, Jeremiah 17:7-8, Luke 2:52
