REBUILD, REPAIR, REVIVE: THE REVIVALIST’S BLUEPRINT (2)
Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional
Date: Thursday, 22 May 2025
Topic: Rebuild, Repair, Revive: The Revivalist’s Blueprint (2)
Focus: Repairing the Broken Altar
Message:
Every generation needs builders—revivalists who carry fire, vision, and burden. In a time when altars have been neglected, convictions watered down, and spiritual foundations broken, God is raising those who will return to the ruins and restore what has been lost. This devotional series is a call to action. Not just to weep—but to build. Not just to pray—but to repair. Not just to long for revival—but to carry it. So, beloved, you are the blueprint. Let’s rise—and rebuild.
📖 Key Verse:
1 Kings 18:30 – “Then Elijah said to all the people, ‘Come here to me.’ They came to him, and he repaired the altar of the Lord, which had been torn down.”
Devotional:
Before the fire fell on Mount Carmel, Elijah did one thing first: He repaired the altar. Why? Because heaven’s fire will not fall on a broken altar. God is drawn to sacrifice, but the sacrifice must rest on something solid—an altar that has been restored in reverence, humility, and obedience. Altars represent worship. They represent covenant. They are the place where heaven meets earth. But when the altar is broken, our communion with God becomes inconsistent, our fire fades, and revival stalls.
📖 Scripture Reading:
Romans 12:1 – “Offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.”
💧 Refreshing for the Day:
Many are asking for more fire. But the question is—have we repaired the altar? The altar of personal prayer… The altar of holiness… The altar of truth… The altar of first love. So, beloved, if we want a move of God, we must first move back to the altar—and build again. Ask the Holy Spirit to show you what altar in your life needs repair. What place of devotion, worship, or obedience has grown cold or been neglected? Stay refreshed!
✨ Note This:
The fire of God will always find the altar that’s been rebuilt with love and surrender.
🛡️ Responsibility:
- Choose one area of your life to intentionally rebuild today—whether it’s morning prayer, purity, worship, or Scripture time.
- Re-establish it with reverence and consistency.
🙏 Prayer:
Lord, I return to the altar. I rebuild what I’ve let fall apart. Restore hunger, fire, and reverence in me again. Let Your presence fall where my sacrifice is laid. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
🔥 Prophetic Declaration:
I am rebuilding the altar in my life! Where there was coldness, there will be fire! Where there was neglect, there will be holy encounter! I prepare the way for God’s glory to fall again! In Jesus’ name, Amen!
📖 Bible Texts:
Isaiah 58:12, 1 Kings 18:30-39, Romans 12:1
