Devotional:
One of the greatest surprises in my walk with Jesus was discovering that peace is something we learn. When I first began following Christ, I thought peace would come when my problems disappeared. I believed that if every prayer was answered, every relationship was healthy, and every plan succeeded, then my heart would finally be at rest. But life taught me otherwise. Walking with Jesus did not remove every storm from my life. There were seasons of uncertainty, unanswered questions, disappointments, and difficult decisions. Yet it was in those very moments that Jesus invited me to discover a deeper kind of peace—not the peace that comes from having everything under control, but the peace that comes from knowing the One who is in control.
The more time I spent in His presence, the more I realized that peace is cultivated there. It grows as we pray instead of panic. It deepens as we trust instead of trying to control every outcome. It becomes stronger each time we choose to believe God’s promises over our fears.

💧 Refreshing for the Day:
Jesus never promised His disciples a trouble-free life. Instead, He promised them His peace. It was a peace the world could not give and a peace the world could not take away. That same peace has guarded my heart through seasons when nothing around me made sense. Looking back, I can see that some of the calmest moments of my life were not when everything was perfect, but when I simply sat before the Lord and remembered that He was enough. His presence became my refuge, His Word became my anchor, and His Spirit became my comfort. What walking with Jesus taught me is this: Peace is not found by escaping life’s storms. It is found by staying close to the One who walks with us through them. Peace is not the absence of problems—it is the presence of Christ in the middle of them. Stay Refreshed!

Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of Your peace. Thank You that I do not have to carry every burden or solve every problem on my own. Teach me to remain in Your presence and to trust You with every area of my life. When fear tries to overwhelm me, remind me that You are near. Let Your peace guard my heart, calm my mind, and strengthen my faith. May I become a person who carries the peace of Christ wherever I go. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

The peace of Christ rules in my heart. I will not be controlled by fear, anxiety, or uncertainty, because the Lord is with me. My mind is fixed on His promises, my heart is anchored in His presence, and my soul rests in His faithfulness.
