O Lord, Revive Us Again (4)
Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional
Date: Wednesday, 30 July 2025
Topic: O Lord, Revive Us Again (4)
Focus: The Fire Falls on Sacrifice
🔥 Message:
Revival is not a church event—it is a divine invasion. It is God breathing life into what has become dry, routine, or lifeless. It is the heart cry of those who are no longer satisfied with business as usual, who cry out with holy desperation: “Will You not revive us again, that Your people may rejoice in You?” (Psalm 85:6) This devotional series is a call back to the fire. A cry from the altar. A stirring of the soul that longs to see the Church awakened, sin forsaken, the lost drawn, and the presence of God made real again.
📖 Key Verse:
Psalm 85:6 (NKJV) “Will You not revive us again, that Your people may rejoice in You?”
Devotional:
God’s fire never falls on empty altars—it falls on sacrifice. In the days of Elijah, when the altar was rebuilt and the sacrifice prepared, then the fire of the Lord fell (1 Kings 18:38). The fire didn’t come for show—it came because something was laid down in surrender.
Many desire revival fire, but are unwilling to pay the price. Yet in every great move of God—both in Scripture and in history—there has always been a remnant who chose to give up their comfort, their convenience, and sometimes even their reputation, for the sake of God’s glory.
📖 Scripture Reading:
1 Kings 18:38 – “Then the fire of the Lord fell and burned up the sacrifice…”
2 Samuel 24:24 – “I will not offer… that which costs me nothing.”
Leviticus 9:24 – “Fire came out from the presence of the Lord and consumed the offering…”
💧 Refreshing for the Day:
Beloved, revival costs something. It will cost you time, comfort, pride, complacency, and casual Christianity. But what you lay down, God consumes. And what He consumes, He ignites. So, if you want the fire, bring the sacrifice. And remember: the fire doesn’t fall to entertain—it falls to consume, to purify, and to empower. Fire follows sacrifice. God doesn’t bless empty altars—He ignites surrendered hearts. Stayy Refreshed!
✨ Note This:
If it doesn’t cost you, it won’t change you. Revival comes at a price.
🛡️ Responsibility:
✅ Ask the Lord: “What are You asking me to lay down for Your fire to fall?” Obey today, even if it’s difficult. Every sacrifice makes room for greater glory.
🙏 Prayer:
Lord, I bring You what costs me something. I won’t come empty-handed. Burn away what’s not from You, and set my heart ablaze for what is. Let Your fire fall on my life, my worship, my obedience. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
🔥 Prophetic Declaration:
The fire of God is falling on my sacrifice! I lay it all down—and heaven is responding. I will burn with holy fire, and revival will flow from my surrender! Alleluia!
📖 Bible Texts:
Psalm 85:6, 1 Kings 18:38, 2 Samuel 24:24, Leviticus 9:24
