O Lord, Revive Us Again (3)

Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional

Date: Tuesday, 29 July 2025

Topic: O Lord, Revive Us Again (3)

Focus: Return to the Altar

🔥 Message:

Revival is not a church event—it is a divine invasion. It is God breathing life into what has become dry, routine, or lifeless. It is the heart cry of those who are no longer satisfied with business as usual, who cry out with holy desperation: “Will You not revive us again, that Your people may rejoice in You?” (Psalm 85:6) This devotional series is a call back to the fire. A cry from the altar. A stirring of the soul that longs to see the Church awakened, sin forsaken, the lost drawn, and the presence of God made real again.

📖 Key Verse:

Psalm 85:6 (NKJV) “Will You not revive us again, that Your people may rejoice in You?”

Devotional:
Before revival fire can fall, the altar must be rebuilt. In 1 Kings 18, Elijah confronted a nation caught between two opinions—wavering between Baal and the Lord. But before the fire of God fell from heaven, Elijah first repaired the altar of the Lord that had been torn down (v. 30). The altar represents the place of surrender, sacrifice, and communion. It is where we meet God—not just to receive blessing, but to lay our lives down. Many want revival, but few want the altar. We want power without sacrifice, fire without surrender. But the truth remains: fire always falls on sacrifice.

📖 Scripture Reading:
1 Kings 18:30 – “He repaired the altar of the Lord…”
Romans 12:1 – “Offer your bodies as a living sacrifice…”
Hebrews 13:15 – “Let us offer a sacrifice of praise…”

💧 Refreshing for the Day:
So, beloved, to return to the altar means to come back to the place where your heart is fully His. Where prayer is not rushed, and worship is not routine. Where you lay down your pride, your plans, your idols—and say, “Lord, consume it all.” Revival begins when your heart becomes an altar—and you become the offering. No altar, no fire. God revives hearts that are laid down in surrender. Stay Refreshed!

Note This:
The altar is not a stage—it’s a surrender. Revival starts there.

🛡️ Responsibility:
✅ Create a physical or symbolic altar today—kneel, lift your hands, or write down what you’re laying before the Lord. Offer Him something costly. Let Him consume it with fire.

🙏 Prayer:
Lord, I return to the altar. Forgive me for letting it fall into disrepair. I give You my heart again—fully and freely. Let Your fire fall on my surrender. Make me a living sacrifice. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

🔥 Prophetic Declaration:
I am the altar, and I am the offering. I return with holy surrender. Fire will fall again—and revival will begin in me! In Jesus’ name, Amen!

📖 Bible Texts:

Psalm 85:6, 1 Kings 18:30, Romans 12:1, Hebrews 13:15
