O Lord, Revive Us Again (2)

Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional

Date: Monday, 28 July 2025

Topic: O Lord, Revive Us Again (2)

Focus: When Hunger Returns

🔥 Message:

Revival is not a church event—it is a divine invasion. It is God breathing life into what has become dry, routine, or lifeless. It is the heart cry of those who are no longer satisfied with business as usual, who cry out with holy desperation: “Will You not revive us again, that Your people may rejoice in You?” (Psalm 85:6) This devotional series is a call back to the fire. A cry from the altar. A stirring of the soul that longs to see the Church awakened, sin forsaken, the lost drawn, and the presence of God made real again.

📖 Key Verse:

Psalm 85:6 (NKJV) “Will You not revive us again, that Your people may rejoice in You?”

Devotional:
Every revival—personal or corporate—begins with hunger. Not casual interest. Not religious routine. But a deep ache in the soul that says, “There must be more of God than what I’m walking in.” Hunger is the spark that catches fire. It’s what drove blind Bartimaeus to shout louder when others told him to be quiet. It’s what made the woman with the issue of blood press through the crowd. It’s what kept the disciples in the upper room until power fell. You cannot experience revival while being full of everything else.

📖 Scripture Reading:
Matthew 5:6 – “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness…”
Psalm 42:1–2 – “As the deer pants for the water… my soul thirsts for God…”
Isaiah 44:3 – “I will pour water on the thirsty land…”

💧 Refreshing for the Day:
Spiritual hunger requires emptiness. A willingness to make room for God by letting go of what clutters the soul—distractions, sin, busyness, pride. The cry for revival is really the cry of the hungry: “God, I need You more than anything else!” So, revival begins when you stop being satisfied with just surviving—and start longing for deeper communion with God. God responds to hunger more than performance. He fills those who long for Him. Stay Refreshed!

Note This:
Hunger is the hallway to revival. If you’re not desperate, you won’t press in.

🛡️ Responsibility:
✅ Fast from one thing today that often distracts you (TV, social media, food, etc.) and use that time to pray, worship, or read the Word. Make room for holy hunger.

🙏 Prayer:
Lord, stir hunger in me. Don’t let me settle for lukewarm living. Create space in my soul for You to come. I want more—more of Your presence, more of Your power, more of You. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

🔥 Prophetic Declaration:
I am hungry for God! I refuse to be satisfied with yesterday’s fire. I am making room for more. Heaven will respond to my cry—and I will be filled! In Jesus’ name, Amen!

📖 Bible Texts:

Psalm 85:6, Habakkuk 3:2, Revelation 2:4–5
