Consequently, another biblical proven way we can make the right choices in life is by ‘following peace’. This is the most important principles we can learn about making good decisions. Any wonder Paul shared with the people of Colossus, and he said to them:
SCRIPTURE: Let the peace of Christ [the inner calm of one who walks daily with Him] be the controlling factor in your hearts [deciding and settling questions that arise]…. (Colossians 3:15 AMP)
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: The above verse is telling us to use peace as a controlling factor in our hearts to help make decisions. In other words, peace is not only a guiding factor, but also a regulating influence in making decisions and settling issues that arise in our lives. So, when we are faced with a difficult situation or have a hard decision to make, it is so comforting to know we don’t have to figure it out on our own, we can follow peace in our heart. Peace is God’s way of telling us what things are “safe” for us and what things we should leave out.
So, beloved in every area of your life, always make it your goal to follow the peace of God. Stay Refreshed!
NOTE THIS: Life is not meant to be lived by experiment nor by trial and error, but rather it’s supposed to be lived by exact and in precision.
RESPONSIBILITY: Consciously engage this principle in making decisions in your life. “If it does not give you peace of mind, leave it, it’s not worth doing”.
PRAYER: O LORD, give me the grace to follow Your peace in my heart in making tough decisions in life, in the name of Jesus’ Amen! (Go ahead and continue to pray)
PROPHETIC WORD: As you follow peace of God in making life’s decisions, may you never make mistakes, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
