The mistake we make most of the time is that we try to please people, and the last time I checked; many great destinies are forfeited because of this matter. This issue is so peculiar among the brethren. We always want to satisfy everyone and be in right standing with all; we are too afraid to be honest to ourselves, we don’t want to lose the support of men and disappoint their ego, even when it’s so glaring that we’re displeasing God. But the Scripture says, “do not merely listen to the Word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says”, (James 1:22).
SCRIPTURE: And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight. (1 John 3:22) KJV
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: Don’t let the taste of peoples’ cheering and fear of disappointing them make you disobey God. That was the case of Saul in 1 Samuel 15:24, he was afraid of the people, he was so careful not to hurt anyone’s feelings, he had lived to please the people and displeased God. Even though he admitted disobeying the Lord’s instructions, but he forfeited his destiny.
Beloved, we don’t need anybody to tell us what to do or not to do, we have to realize when we come to the end of life, we’re not going to stand before any person and give our account, we’re going to stand before God, and He’s not going to say, “Why didn’t you do what people said? Why didn’t you take their opinion”? He’s going to ask, “Did you become who I created you to be? Did you stay true to what I put in your heart”? So be wise. Stay Lifted!

RESPONSIBILITY: Resolve in every honesty to always please God in your life.
PRAYER: O LORD, help me to live pleasing you all the days of my life, in the name of Jesus’ Amen! (Go ahead and continue to pray)
PROPHETIC WORD: May God help you to stay faithful to Him and no other, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
