Learning to Rest in God (4)
Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional
Date: Wednesday, 24 December 2025
Topic: Learning to Rest in God (4)
Focus: Resting While God Is Working
🔥Theme:
In a world that constantly demands more, God invites us to slow down and rest in Him. This devotional series explores what it truly means to stop striving, release our burdens, and trust God’s loving care. As you journey through these days, you will learn how to find peace in God’s presence, rest in His promises, and live from a place of calm confidence rather than pressure and exhaustion.
📖 Key Verse:
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28
Devotional:
One of the hardest things to learn is how to rest while God is still working. We often think we must see progress before we can have peace. But God invites us to rest even when nothing seems to be changing. Psalm 127:2 says that God gives sleep to those He loves. This reminds us that God works even when we rest. Our peace does not slow Him down.
📖 Scripture Reading:
• Psalm 127:1–2 — God works while we rest.
• Exodus 14:14 — The Lord fights while we remain still.
• Isaiah 64:4 — God works for those who wait for Him.
💧 Refreshing for the Day:
Rest is an act of trust. It says, “God, I believe You are working, even when I cannot see it.” When we rest, we stop striving and allow God to move in His way and time. Rest does not delay God’s work—it deepens your trust in it. You don’t have to stay anxious for God to stay active. Stay Refreshed!
✨ Note This:
🛌 Rest is trusting God enough to stop striving.
🛡️ Responsibility:
Pause today and say: “Lord, I trust You to work while I rest.”
🙏 Prayer:
Father, teach me to rest even when I don’t see results yet. Help me trust that You are working on my behalf. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
🔥 Prophetic Declaration:
I rest in God’s care. He is working for me, and my heart is at peace. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
