The secret to living a peaceful and satisfied life is to trust God completely. We have grown to only trust God for something. And thus, this would make for the reason why too many people who seek God today, seek Him for a reason. But this negates and contradicts the principle of the good conscience the Bible teaches us about in Jeremiah 29:13, and it says,
SCRIPTURE: You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. (Jeremiah 29:13 NIV)
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: When we seek God with all our heart, we are trusting God completely. Trusting God for something does not only limit the greatness of what God wants to do in our lives, but it also restricts the move of His power in our lives. When we trust God for something, we are telling God, “This is what I want, do it for me.” Consequently, this act of restriction and limitation blindfolds our sense of abundance. But when we trust God completely without any reservation, our hearts are opened to the will of God.
So, beloved, you must learn to trust God completely if you ever intend to enjoy peaceful and abundant living. Though, it is good to trust God for something, but God is calling His people not only to trust Him “for something,” but to trust Him completely and “in everything.” Stay Refreshed!
NOTE THIS: Trusting God for something limits the greatness of what God wants to do in our lives, but when we trust God completely without any reservation, our hearts are opened to the will of God.
RESPONSIBILITY: So, we must learn to trust God completely and in everything.
PRAYER: O LORD, give me the grace to trust You completely and in everything all the days of my life, in Jesus’ name, Amen! (Go ahead and pray for other intentions as the Spirit leads)
PROPHETIC WORD: As you commit to trusting God completely in your life, may He always be true to you and yours, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
