So, beloved, as we continue our journey to Bethlehem, let us rekindle the joy of seeking God in simplicity. The Christmas story and the surroundings of Jesus’ birth teach us profound lessons in humility. It challenges us to find solace in the simple and uncomplicated, to recognize the beauty in the ordinary. Yes, we may celebrate and make merry, but it is also wise we do not lose sight on the essence of the season.
SCRIPTURE: “Seek the Lord, all you humble of the land, you who do what he commands. Seek righteousness, seek humility; perhaps you will be sheltered on the day of the Lord’s anger.” — Zephaniah 2:3 (NIV)
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: So, the journey to Bethlehem invites us to seek God in simplicity. Simplicity is not the absence of beauty but the essence of it. It involves decluttering our lives—physically, mentally, and spiritually. Release the distractions that hinder our connection with God. Stay Refreshed!
