INSIST ON ME, HOLY GHOST, UNTIL I LOOK LIKE JESUS (10)
Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional www.thefountspring.org
Date: Thursday, 31 October 2024
Focus: Living in Forgiveness
Jesus exemplified forgiveness, even from the cross, asking the Father to forgive those who persecuted Him. When we ask the Holy Ghost to insist on us, we ask Him to root out bitterness, anger, and unforgiveness in our hearts. Forgiveness is a vital part of living like Jesus—it frees us from bondage and restores our relationship with others. The Holy Spirit enables us to let go of offenses, forgive deeply, and live with a heart at peace, reflecting the mercy of Christ.
Scripture Reading: “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” — Ephesians 4:32
Refreshing for the Day: So, beloved, today, examine your heart and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal any areas where forgiveness is needed. Whether it’s a recent hurt or a long-standing pain, let the Spirit help you release it. Reflect at the end of the day on how forgiveness brought freedom and peace to your heart. Stay Refreshed!
Note This: Forgiveness is not just a command; it is the path to freedom, allowing the love of Christ to flow freely in our lives.
Responsibility: Is there anyone you need to forgive today? How can you invite the Holy Spirit to help you release the offense and live in peace?
Prayer: Dear Holy Spirit, insist on me until my heart is free from bitterness. Help me to forgive as Jesus forgave, allowing Your love and peace to fill my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Prophetic Word: I declare that I will walk in forgiveness, releasing offenses and embracing peace. The Holy Spirit empowers me to forgive, just as I have been forgiven in Christ. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
