The Intercessor’s Burden (2)

Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional

Date: Monday, 21 July 2025

Topic: The Intercessor’s Burden (2)

Focus: Feeling What God Feels

🔥 Message:

Heaven is looking for those who will carry its weight—those who will not just pray for change, but through it. True intercession is not convenient prayer; it is costly, consuming, and born from a heart aligned with God’s own. This devotional journey is a call to rise into the priestly place of intercession—a place where God shares His burden, His groan, and His vision for the earth. It’s not glamorous, but it’s glorious. Intercession is how heaven partners with earth to birth breakthrough.

So, beloved, if you’ve ever felt the weight of a generation, the ache for revival, or the longing to see lives transformed—this burden is for you.

📖 Key Verse:

Ezekiel 22:30 – “I looked for someone… to stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land…”

Devotional:
True intercession begins not with words, but with burden. It is not performance-driven prayer—it is heart-to-heart communion where you begin to feel what God feels. Before you speak His will, you must share His ache. In Romans 8:26, Paul writes that “the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.” This is not shallow prayer—it’s deep travail. A weight that grips your spirit, not because of your own pain, but because God lets you taste His. You cry over things you normally overlook. You mourn over sin. You groan for the lost. You feel heaven’s grief and earth’s desperation.

📖 Scripture Reading:
Romans 8:26 – “The Spirit intercedes for us with groanings…”
Nehemiah 1:4 – “When I heard… I sat down and wept.”
Luke 22:44 – “Being in anguish, He prayed more earnestly…”

💧 Refreshing for the Day:
Beloved, Moses felt it when he begged God not to destroy Israel. Nehemiah felt it when he wept over broken walls. Jesus Himself felt it in Gethsemane, sweating drops of blood as He interceded for the world. Intercessors are those who say, “God, share Your burden with me.” It’s not always easy—but it’s always holy. So, you cannot carry God’s heart and remain untouched. Intimacy leads to burden. Stay Refreshed!

Note This:
Intercession is not about shouting louder—it’s about loving deeper.

🛡️ Responsibility:
✅ Find a quiet space today and ask: “Lord, break my heart with what breaks Yours.” Be still. Wait. Whatever He shows you—pray from that place.

🙏 Prayer:
Father, I don’t want to pray from distance—I want to pray from Your heart. Let me feel what You feel. Let my tears align with Yours. Burden me for what burdens You, and give me grace to carry it in prayer. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

🔥 Prophetic Declaration:
I carry the heart of God! My spirit is stirred by what stirs Him. I pray with passion, with compassion, and with power—because I feel what heaven feels! Alleluia!
