Many people can tell you what God gave them after following Jesus. Fewer can describe who they have become. The greatest miracle of the Christian life is not merely changed circumstances—it is a changed heart. As we walk with Christ day after day, often without realizing it, He patiently shapes us into people who look more like Him.

Devotional:
When I first came to Christ, I thought following Him was mainly about changing my habits. I soon discovered it was about something much deeper. Jesus was not simply asking me to do different things; He was inviting me to become a different person. The greatest obstacle to becoming like Christ is often not the world around us but the self within us. We naturally want our own way, our own recognition, and our own control. Yet Jesus lovingly calls us to deny ourselves, take up our cross daily, and follow Him. This is not an invitation to lose our identity but to discover the person God created us to be.
This transformation rarely happens overnight. It unfolds quietly through ordinary days. Every act of forgiveness weakens selfishness. Every step of obedience strengthens trust. Every surrender of pride makes more room for humility. As we continue walking with Jesus, He gently removes what does not reflect His heart and forms His character within us.

- Galatians 2:20 — I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me.

John the Baptist understood this when he declared, “He must increase, but I must decrease.” Those words capture the essence of discipleship. The Christian life is not about making ourselves greater while adding Jesus to our plans. It is about allowing Christ to take His rightful place at the center of everything we are. Looking back, the greatest evidence that I have followed Jesus is not merely what I have accomplished. It is that I no longer think, speak, react, or love exactly as I once did. His Spirit has been patiently transforming me, one surrender at a time. Following Jesus does not erase your personality. It redeems it. The more self gives way to Christ, the more His beauty is seen through your life. Stay Refreshed!

Form Your character within me day by day until my thoughts, words, and actions reflect Your heart. May people see less of me and more of You. As I follow Jesus, the old nature is losing its influence over my life. Christ is increasing within me, and His character is being formed in me every day.
