It has been confirmed that a person’s relationship with God determines his prominence and distinction in life, (Job 1:8). And one cannot be in a relationship with God and be relegated in life. Now seeing the importance of having a genuine and personal relationship with God; let’s look at how to begin this relationship with God.
Entering into a relationship with God means giving up the freedom of going it alone. Instead of calling all the shots, we are required to rescript our plans to include the desires and plans of God upon our lives.
SCRIPTURE:
I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing, (John 15:5) NIV
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY:
Your relationship with God determines your everything in life.
How can one begin a relationship with God?
1. The how, first of all begins with understanding that your potential and its manifestation is securely tied in Christ; and can only be accessed at the place of your genuine relationship with God. Whatever you are and will be in life is determined by your relationship with God.
2. Always put God first in your life: When you put God first, you will never come last in life. Do not embark on any meaningful project in life without committing it to God in prayers. Always start your day with God at the place of prayer.
3. In constant communication, submit your life, actions and plans to God. Spend quality time to Word study and prayer.
Beloved, the power to be purposeful and useful in life is found in Christ, (John 15:5). Strive to build a lasting relationship with Him today and begin to experience a turnaround testimony in your life and family. Stay Refreshed!

Consciously desire to have a personal relationship with God.
PRAYER:
O LORD, help my life. Cause me to desire a personal relationship with you, in the name of Jesus’ Amen! (Go ahead and continue to pray)
