Going round the churches and every prayer house today, as the year begins, people are engaged on prayer and fasting to usher in the new year. Many have long lists of what they want to achieve for the year. Inside the list contains plans to get a new job, marriage plans, business success, how to make money, etc.
But the big question is, have you ever spent much time thinking about eternity and what it should be like? Most people have not. They just go from day to day living life the way they want and doing whatever they feel like doing, without ever really asking themselves after here on earth, where next?
SCRIPTURE:
Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things, (Colossians 3:2) NIV
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY:
It is calamitous to get all the riches in life and miss eternity.
Beloved, getting your name in the history books doesn’t matter if you fail to get your name in the book of life in heaven. Receiving numerous accolades and awards of excellence on earth doesn’t matter if you lose all reward in heaven. Any wonder our Lord Jesus asked, “What does it profit a man to gain the whole world, yet forfeit his soul?” (Mark 8:36).
What a tragedy it would be to have gone through your whole life and at the end of it, look back, and realize that you spent all your time, money and energy on things that were pointless and had no value or worth. How depressing it would be to realize that you had wasted your entire life on vain pursuits. May it never be our portion in Jesus’s name! Remain Rapturable!
NOTE THIS:

RESPONSIBILITY:
Strive to make eternal things your top priority in life.
PRAYER:
O LORD, give me the grace to live with eternity in mind, in the name of Jesus’ Amen! (Go ahead and continue to pray)

The grace to live with eternity in mind is available, RECEIVE IT NOW, in the name of Jesus, Amen.
