GOD’S MIGHTY LOVE

TIMES OF REFRESHING

ONLINE DAILY DEVOTIONAL by Obiorah Prince Emeka
DATE: FRIDAY 25 DECEMBER

Jesus, the Son of God, came to die that we may have eternal life. This ultimate sacrifice can only be rooted in love. What manner of love therefore can the Father have for us that He considers us worthy of His Son’s life (1 John 3:1)? Yes Jesus is the reason for this season but more so, you, yes you ARE also the reason for this season.

Today, as the world commemorates the birth of the Saviour of  the World, my prayer is that someone reading this devotional will encounter the love of God in a way so powerful that their lives will never remain the same.

SCRIPTURE:
God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him, (1 John 4:9) NLT

REFRESHING FOR THE DAY:
There is no love greater than a love willing to lay down its life for another, this love is manifested in the birth and death of Jesus.

What must we do to partake of this love?
1.    We must submit to Jesus and embrace His finished work, (John 3:16).

2.    we must allow this love to permeate our very souls by constantly meditating on scriptures of how deeply God loves us, (1 John 4:10).

Today, I implore you to meditate on the following statements:

God loves me.
God thinks I am to die for and so He died for me.
God knows me and He sees me.
God has not forgotten me and He can never forget me because I am written on the palm of His hands.
God is ALWAYS with me even when I don’t feel it.

Merry Christmas Beloved, stay lifted!

NOTE THIS:
There is no love greater than a love willing to lay down its life for another, this love is manifested in the birth and death of Jesus.
RESPONSIBILITY:
Meditate on the statements above.

PRAYER:
O LORD, thank you for your love and compassion for me, help me to accept this love, in the name of Jesus’ Amen! (Go ahead and continue to pray)

PROPHETIC WORD:
May the peace and love of God remain with you and yours now and forever in Jesus name, Amen.

BIBLE TEXTS:  1 John 3:1, 1 John 4:9, John 3:16, 1 John 4:10,
