GOD LOVES YOU AND ACCEPTS YOU (3)
TIMES OF REFRESHING ONLINE DAILY DEVOTIONAL www.thefountspring.org
DATE: WEDNESDAY, 15 MARCH 2023
TOPIC: GOD LOVES YOU AND ACCEPTS YOU (3)
As we continue to explore the topic of God’s love for us, one thing that we can concretely establish is that God’s love is a constant in our lives and not a variable. God’s love is not emotional. It is not here today and gone tomorrow. It does not quit on us when we fall short. Scripture establishes that even in our sinfulness, Jesus died for us. He did not die for us when we had already repented. No, He died for us while we were yet sinners (Romans 5:8). In this, God demonstrated that we did nothing to earn His love and so nothing we do could ever turn His heart away from us.
SCRIPTURE: But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us (Romans 5:8, NIV)
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: God does not love us when it is convenient for Him. He doesn’t love us only when it is easy for Him. He loves us in and out of season. In good times and in bad times. He is patient and kind. He is not self-seeking or easily angered. He does not keep record of our wrongs. He does not delight in evil. Rather, He rejoices in truth. He always protects us, always trusts that we will do the right thing, always hopes and always perseveres. He never fails because He is love (1 Corinthians 13:4-8). God is love personified. Stay Refreshed!
NOTE THIS: God loves us in and out of season.
RESPONSIBILITY: Trust in the Lord because He never fails and He will never abandon you.
PRAYER: Oh Lord, thank You for loving and accepting me. Help me to trust in your love for me always, in Jesus’s name, Amen!
PROPHETIC WORD: May you know the love of the Father deep down and may the Lord cause you to rest in His love, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
BIBLE TEXTS: Romans 5:8, 1 Corinthians 13:4-8
