FINDING PEACE IN GOD’S PRESENCE (1)
TIMES OF REFRESHING ONLINE DAILY DEVOTIONAL www.thefountspring.org
DATE: FRIDAY, 22 SEPTEMBER 2023
Beloved, I want to share with you today about “Finding peace in God’s presence.” You see, in the hustle and bustle of our daily lives, finding true peace can often feel like an elusive dream. We search for it in the chaos of the world, in material possessions, and in the pursuit of success, only to find that these things offer temporary relief at best. However, there is a place where lasting peace can be found – in the presence of God. In this devotional series, we will explore how we can find peace in God’s presence and experience the profound tranquility that only He can provide. In Psalm 46:10, the Lord says,
Bottom of FormSCRIPTURE: “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” — Psalm 46:10 (NIV)
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: So, the first approach to finding peace in God’s presence is “being still.” In our busy lives, being still is often a rare and precious gift we rarely give ourselves. And the Bible verse reminds us that it is in stillness that we can truly know God. When we slow down and set aside the distractions of the world, we open our hearts to His presence, and in doing so, we find the peace that surpasses all understanding. We shall continue tomorrow, but till then, Stay Refreshed!
NOTE THIS: True and sincere peace can only be found in one place—in the presence of God.
RESPONSIBILITY: So, beloved, let’s set aside the worries of our hearts and the noise of the world and come before the Lord and be still in His presence.
PRAYER: Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You with the worries of our hearts. Help us to be still in Your presence, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
PROPHETIC WORD: As we come before the Lord, may we experience the profound peace that can only be found in Him, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
BIBLE TEXTS: Psalm 46:10
