Draw Me Near: The Cry of the Hungry Heart (5)

Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional

Date: Thursday, 10 July 2025

Topic: Draw Me Near: The Cry of the Hungry Heart (5)

Focus: The Touch That Changes Everything

🔥 Message:

There’s a cry rising in the hearts of those who are done with surface-level Christianity—a cry for more. More than routine. More than religion. A cry for intimacy with the living God. This devotional is for the hungry. For those whose hearts whisper in the quiet: “Draw me near, Lord.” Over the next 7 days, may your desire for closeness grow deeper. May distractions fall away. And may you find that the nearness of God isn’t just possible—it’s the very purpose of your life.

📖 Key Verse:

Psalm 27:4 (NIV): “One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple.”

Devotional:
There are moments in God’s presence that mark you for life. One touch, one word, one encounter—and everything changes. The woman with the issue of blood in Mark 5 had suffered for twelve long years. Doctors failed her. People avoided her. But something in her spirit said, “If I can just touch the hem of His garment, I will be healed.” She wasn’t invited. She wasn’t expected. But she pressed through the crowd—through pain, fear, and shame—just to get close. And in that moment, Jesus didn’t just heal her body. He called her “daughter.” Intimacy replaced distance. Wholeness replaced brokenness.

📖 Scripture Reading:
Mark 5:25–34 – “If I just touch His clothes, I will be healed…”
Jeremiah 29:13 – “You will seek Me and find Me when you seek Me with all your heart.”
Isaiah 6:7 – “Your guilt is taken away…”

💧 Refreshing for the Day:
Beloved, when you hunger for Jesus more than your comfort, breakthrough comes.
There is a place in God where one touch makes you whole—not just physically, but emotionally, spiritually, and deeply. So, press in, reach out. He is near. The touch of Jesus reaches places no one else can heal. Stay Refreshed!

Note This:
Hunger will push you past barriers that fear tries to build.

🛡️ Responsibility:
✅ What area in your life needs healing or restoration? Bring it to Jesus in prayer today. Like the woman, don’t just speak—reach out in faith.

🙏 Prayer:
Jesus, I reach for You today. I believe You are the One who heals, restores, and calls me whole. Touch my life with Your presence. Let everything that is broken in me encounter Your wholeness. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

🔥 Prophetic Declaration:
I press through the noise and the crowd to touch Jesus! His presence restores me, heals me, and redefines me. I am not the same—I am whole because I’ve encountered Him! Alleluia!
