DON’T TAKE THE EASY WAY OUT

TIMES OF REFRESHING ONLINE DAILY DEVOTIONAL www.thefountspring.org

DATE: SATURDAY, 9 OCTOBER 2021

There is this misconception we have about life; we only stick around a thing as long as we are getting what we want. Any time there’s nothing to get, we’re out it. We always come around people and become a friend when the going is easy and smooth. But when the going becomes tough, we will abandon them. We always want to be part of what is already working, we don’t want to be part that will make it work. That’s taking the easy way out. But the Scripture says, “Taking the easy way out is the habit of a lazy man, and it will be his downfall.” (Proverbs 21:25) TPT

SCRIPTURE: Good planning and hard work lead to prosperity, but hasty shortcuts lead to poverty. (Proverbs 21:5) NLT

REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: Beloved, here is the correct version— don’t always take the easy way out. The dream you pursue may seem difficult, the business may be fluctuating, don’t take the easy way out, get committed to making it work.  Your relationship may be going through knocks, don’t shy away from it, commit to see it blossom again.

Our commitment shouldn’t be based on things going our way. But when it’s difficult, we get discouraged and begin to slack off. That system that’s not working, all it may need is patient, don’t walk away, stick to until it’s revitalized. Stay Lifted!

NOTE THIS: There will be good days and tough days. Always make allowance to anyone that comes. And make up your mind, no matter what, never to walk away.

RESPONSIBILITY: Learn to commit your best in all that you do. And never see walking away as an option.

PRAYER: O LORD, teach me not to walk away when I should stay and make things work. Cause me to commit my best in all that I do, in the name of Jesus’ Amen! (Go ahead and continue to pray)

PROPHETIC WORD: Receive the grace to commit your best in all that you do, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!

BIBLE TEXTS: Proverbs 21: 5, 25
