DON’T LET YOUR PAST SOUR YOUR FUTURE

TIMES OF REFRESHING ONLINE DAILY DEVOTIONAL www.thefountspring.org

DATE: THURSDAY, 8 JULY 2021

In each moment, our life is being shaped. Through our thoughts, attitudes, and behaviors, we are given another chance to regenerate, and resuscitate ourselves. To rebuild our life and to work towards becoming the happy, loving and wonderful person we were created to be. But if we are constantly looking back with regrets, sadness, resentment, remembering our past mistakes and what we didn’t do well, it’s going to keep us from the bright future God has in store for us.

SCRIPTURE: Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. (Isaiah 43:18) KJV

REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: You can’t do anything about the past, but you can do something to evade a sour future.

Beloved, you may have gotten off to a rough start in life, but it’s not how you start that matters, it’s how you finish. Don’t let what somebody did or didn’t do for you be an excuse to live sour. Don’t let a failed contract, a divorce, a betrayal cause you to live bitter. If you keep them and refuse to let go, it will sour your future. Yes, you may have had an unfair past, I’m not disputing that, but you don’t have to allow it sour your bright future. Learn to let go and God will see you through. Stay Lifted!

NOTE THIS: You can’t do anything about the past, but you can do something to evade a sour future.

RESPONSIBILITY: Whatever you must do to evade a sour future, do it now.

PRAYER: O LORD, give me the grace to live above my past, and surge forward in life, in the name of Jesus’ Amen! (Go ahead and continue to pray)

PROPHETIC WORD: May your future never be a reflection of your past, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!

BIBLE TEXTS: Isaiah 43:18
