BUT IT’S FOR A REASON (PART 2)

TIMES OF REFRESHING ONLINE DAILY DEVOTIONAL www.thefountspring.org

DATE: WEDNESDAY, 25 AUGUST 2021

After yesterday’s topic on this matter, I got a feedback, “Why must God allow good people to go through pain and misery in life, even when they’re faithfully committed to Him (God)?” And I know too many other persons will also be having similar questions in mind. The simple answer is, God wants the very best for us, a beautiful future and destiny, (Jer 29:11). He has great plans to deliver such a beautiful and enviable future to us.  And for us to attain and retain that great destiny, He has to brush-off and chisel out anything that would jeopardize His efforts. So, these are the process of God making a man; we may call it “pain and misery”, but it’s for a reason. (However note, not all the “pain and misery” of life is as a result of God making a man.)

SCRIPTURE: And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. (Romans 8:28) ESV

REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: Sometimes what we see as a problem is not actually a problem, but a growth process. We always expect the rewards of being obedient and faithful to God to be glowing and everything is moving on well, but what we don’t realize is that some of the betrayals, delays, rejection we encounter are for a reason.

The friend that suddenly walked away, that door that closed unexpectedly, the contract that didn’t go through, the unhealthy delay and numerous disappointments, they all happen for a reason. Maybe if that wouldn’t have happened, we couldn’t reach our destiny. We wanted to keep the friend, we wanted the contract so badly, what we couldn’t see is God had something better. He loves us too much to let us miss our purpose. Though we may not like it, it doesn’t seem fair, but it’s for a reason. Stay Lifted!

NOTE THIS: Sometimes what we see as a problem is not actually a problem, but a growth process.

RESPONSIBILITY: Always be grateful to God for everything, trust in Him for nothing happens without His knowledge.

PRAYER: O LORD, I know You have the best for me. Keep my heart at peace, even as I wait for the manifestation in my life, in the name of Jesus’ Amen! (Go ahead and continue to pray)

PROPHETIC WORD: May God bless you, favor you and give you peace, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!

BIBLE TEXTS: Rom 8:28, Jer 29:11
