BUT IT’S FOR A REASON

TIMES OF REFRESHING ONLINE DAILY DEVOTIONAL www.thefountspring.org

DATE: TUESDAY, 24 AUGUST 2021

We all have things happen to us in life that we don’t understand, things that are taking longer than they should, unnecessary delays even when we have done all we ought to do. It’s easy to live frustrated and ask “God, why is this happening?” But what we don’t know is that “it’s for a reason.”

SCRIPTURE: Your regulations remain true to this day, for everything serves your plans. (Psalm 119:91) NLT

REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: That silent season in your life, when you have done everything you ought to do and it seems nothing is working, is an important time in your life, grasp it, you’re being developed.

Beloved, this is a serious issue, especially among the believers. It’s not an issue we can just mute over. Lack of understanding of this matter has caused many to backslide. Recall that God didn’t lead the Israelites the shortest route to the promised land. He took them the long way on purpose because they were not prepared for war. God knew if He would’ve taken them in too quickly, they would’ve been easily defeated, because their enemies were much bigger. They prayed many times, but God didn’t answer that prayer, not because God was trying to make their life miserable, but God knew what was up in front of them. He had to toughen them up and get them prepared so they could step in to the fullness.

In the same way, God has already laid out the plan for your life. He knows exactly what you need, when you need it, who you need. He knows the battles you’re going to face, the dreams you’re going to accomplish. He’s got it all figured out. So, whenever you’re going through a silent season in life, don’t be upset, understand that it’s for a reason. Stay Lifted!

NOTE THIS: That silent season in your life, when you have done everything you ought to do and it seems nothing is working, is an important time in your life, grasp it, you’re being developed.

RESPONSIBILITY: Always be positive and grateful to God, even in your silent season, for it’s for a reason.

PRAYER: O LORD, give me the grace be positive, even in my silent season, in the name of Jesus’ Amen! (Go ahead and continue to pray)

PROPHETIC WORD: May you never expire in your silent season, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!

BIBLE TEXTS: Psalm 119:91
