While it’s true that determination and self-discipline are so wonderful and necessary things to develop, but the truth of the matter is, we can’t live the life God has for us based on willpower alone. We need God’s help. And until God helps a man, that man is helpless. And David understood this key and he declared in Psalm 124:8,
SCRIPTURE: Our help is from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth. (Psalm 124:8 NLT)
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: In as much as this is so true, this doesn’t mean we fold our arms and just depend on God, no. We have a part to play. Our part is to agree with God when He shows us areas where we need to develop and how to go about it. We have a responsibility to grow our relationship with God and do our best to obey what His Word says we should do. And until then, His help is far from us. Stay Refreshed!
NOTE THIS: We can’t live the life God has for us based on willpower alone. We need God’s help.
RESPONSIBILITY: So, sincerely ask God to help your life.
PRAYER: O LORD, help my life, for I trust in You, in the name of Jesus’ Amen! (Go ahead and pray for other intentions as the Spirit leads)
