TOPIC: WITH JESUS IN YOUR LIFE (12)
God is love, (1 John 4:8), and with Jesus in our lives, we’ll begin to live like Jesus, and love like Jesus would love. We’ll begin to love God, care and love one another. There’s no better and greater thing than this. Yes, this is true, for love is everlasting and never ending. Any wonder, the Bible says, amongst the things that will last forever, faith and hope, love is the greatest (1 Cor. 13:13). And it’s written in 1 John 4:16,
SCRIPTURE: … God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them. (1 John 4:16 NIV)
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: So, dearly beloved, if God is love and with Jesus in our lives, we too are love. And since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another (4:11). We ought to care for one another and help one another. This is not just a plea, but a command. For the Bible says, anyone who loves God must also love their brother and sister (4:21). Stay Refreshed!
NOTE THIS: Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar (4:19).
RESPONSIBILITY: So, ask God for the grace to love. To love God and man.
PRAYER: Lord Jesus, give me the grace to love You more, even as I love and care for others, in Jesus’ name, Amen!
PROPHETIC WORD: With Jesus in your life, may you receive the grace to love God and man, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
