WHERE ARE THE INTERCESSORS? BIRTHING REVIVAL THROUGH TRAVAIL (4)

Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional

Date: Saturday, 10 May 2025

Focus: Groaning in the Spirit

Message:

Revival has never come without a cry. Before the rain of the Spirit falls, there is always the cry of the intercessor—those hidden ones who carry the burden, weep between the porch and the altar, and refuse to be silent until Heaven touches Earth. Intercession is not soft—it is warfare. It is labor. It is travail. Zion could not bring forth until she travailed. Likewise, the Church cannot bring revival until she groans again.

This devotional series is a prophetic charge to rise as an intercessor in this generation. It is for watchmen, gatekeepers, and birthing vessels. It is for those who will cry until nations bow and prodigals return. So, beloved, this is your call to stand in the gap… until revival is born.

📖 Key Verse:

Isaiah 66:8 – “As soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children.”

Devotional:

Some prayers come with words. But the deepest intercession—travail—comes with groans. Groaning in the Spirit is not emotional noise—it is the language of birthing, the labor pains of revival. Romans 8:26 tells us the Spirit Himself intercedes through us with “groanings too deep for words.” These groans don’t come from our flesh—they come from Heaven, through the Spirit, released by yielded vessels. They carry weight. They shake atmospheres. They announce something is being pushed into the earth realm.

When Zion travailed, she brought forth. Without groaning, there is no birthing. It’s in this place that the veil between heaven and earth thins, and spiritual realities are released.

📖 Scripture Reading:

Romans 8:26 – “The Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.”
Isaiah 66:8 – “As soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children.”

💧 Refreshing for the Day:

Beloved, travail is raw. It’s inconvenient. It often comes in hidden moments where you can’t explain what’s happening—but your spirit is travailing with God. So, will you let the Spirit groan through you? Yield to the Holy Spirit—not just with language, but with deep surrender. Ask Him to use your spirit as a womb for birthing heaven’s agenda. Even when words fail, the groans of the Spirit never miss the mark. Stay Refreshed!

Note This:

Groaning is not weakness—it’s spiritual labor that births revival.

🛡️ Responsibilities:

  1. Set aside undistracted time to pray in the Spirit.
  2. Journal any spiritual burdens, names, or places God lays on your heart as you groan.

🙏 Prayer:

Holy Spirit, I yield to You. Groan through me. Birth through me. Let revival, healing, and deliverance be pushed into the earth through my intercession. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

🔥 Prophetic Declaration:

I am a vessel of travail. I will birth revival. Through groanings too deep for words, I partner with heaven to release what God has ordained! Alleluia!
