WHERE ARE THE INTERCESSORS? BIRTHING REVIVAL THROUGH TRAVAIL (2)

Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional

Date: Thursday, 8 May 2025

Focus: Between the Porch and the Altar

Message:

Revival has never come without a cry. Before the rain of the Spirit falls, there is always the cry of the intercessor—those hidden ones who carry the burden, weep between the porch and the altar, and refuse to be silent until Heaven touches Earth. Intercession is not soft—it is warfare. It is labor. It is travail. Zion could not bring forth until she travailed. Likewise, the Church cannot bring revival until she groans again.

This devotional series is a prophetic charge to rise as an intercessor in this generation. It is for watchmen, gatekeepers, and birthing vessels. It is for those who will cry until nations bow and prodigals return. So, beloved, this is your call to stand in the gap… until revival is born.

📖 Key Verse:

Isaiah 66:8 – “As soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children.”

Devotional:

Before revival breaks out in the streets, it breaks open between the porch and the altar.
This is not a physical location—but a prophetic posture. It’s the place where priests stand in the gap—not between crowds and stages, but between Heaven and Earth, pleading for mercy, weeping for nations, and refusing to let go until God moves. In Joel 2:17, God doesn’t ask for worship leaders or warriors. He asks for weeping priests—intercessors who are not content with religion, but who cry out for the glory to return.
This is the place where revival is born—not with noise, but with tears.

📖 Scripture Readings:

Joel 2:17 – “Let the priests, who minister before the Lord, weep between the porch and the altar…”
Ezekiel 22:30 – “I looked for someone among them who would build up the wall and stand before Me in the gap…”

💧 Refreshing for the Day:

So, beloved, when you pray, “Lord, send revival,” you’re not saying, “God, do something without me.” You’re saying, “Use me to make space for Your glory.” But that space is carved with tears. And intercessors weep where others have grown numb. Will you stand between the porch and the altar today? There are many gaps in this generation—broken families, silent churches, lost youth. Step into the space where the enemy has tried to build a wall, and let your intercession tear it down. Stay Refreshed!

Note This:

Weeping between the porch and the altar is where the glory returns.

🛡️ Responsibilities:

  1. Identify a specific area God is calling you to intercede for today (e.g. your family, your city, your church).
  2. Spend 15 minutes in focused, tearful, heartfelt prayer for that gap.

🙏 Prayer:

Lord, place me in the gap. Teach me to weep between the porch and the altar. Break my heart for what breaks Yours—and use my tears to prepare the way for revival. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

🔥 Prophetic Declaration:

I will not abandon the altar. I will stand in the gap. I will cry until healing flows, glory returns, and revival breaks forth. I am a priest who weeps between the porch and the altar! Alleluia!
