When God Hides You to Speak to You
Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional
Date: Monday, 11 May 2026
Topic: The Return to the Secret Place (2)
Focus: When God Hides You to Speak to You
🔥Theme:
Intimacy before ministry
📖 Key Verse:
“But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen.” — Matthew 6:6
Devotional:
There are seasons when God pulls you away from visibility. Doors become quiet, crowds become smaller, and life feels hidden. At first, this can feel discouraging. You may wonder why things slowed down or why you feel separated from what once seemed active and fruitful. But many times, God hides people before He speaks deeply to them.
Moses spent years in the wilderness before encountering God at the burning bush. Paul disappeared into Arabia before stepping fully into ministry. Even Jesus spent hidden years before public revelation.
📖 Scripture Reading:
- Galatians 1:15–18 — Paul’s hidden preparation
- Exodus 3:1–4 — Moses in the wilderness
- Psalm 27:5 — Hidden in His presence
💧 Refreshing for the Day:
Hidden seasons are often holy seasons. God removes distractions so your ears can hear Him more clearly. What feels like isolation may actually be invitation—an invitation back into deeper fellowship, deeper dependence, and deeper revelation. The secret place is where God shapes what public life cannot. God often speaks most clearly in hidden seasons. Stay Refreshed!
✨ Note This:
🌑 Hidden seasons are often preparation seasons.
🛡️ Responsibility:
Do not resist quiet seasons—lean into them and seek God more intentionally.
🙏 Prayer:
Father, help me embrace hidden seasons without fear or frustration. Speak to my heart and draw me deeper into intimacy with You. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
🔥 Prophetic Declaration:
God is shaping me in hidden places. I am not forgotten—I am being prepared through intimacy with Him. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
