Devotional:
Waiting has a way of exposing the true condition of the heart. At first, we wait for an answer. We count the days. We watch the calendar. We measure God’s faithfulness by visible progress. But if the waiting continues, something begins to change. The prayer slowly becomes less about the answer…and more about the One we are waiting with. This is one of God’s greatest invitations. Not merely to wait for Him. But to wait with Him. There comes a sacred moment when you realize that the greatest gift of the waiting season is not what you will eventually receive. It is the Person you have come to know.

Scripture Reading:
• Psalm 27:4 — One thing have I desired of the Lord.
• Psalm 73:25–26 — Whom have I in heaven but You?
• Lamentations 3:24–26 — The Lord is my portion.

Refreshing for the Day:
David understood this. He did not simply seek deliverance from his enemies. He prayed, “One thing I have desired of the Lord, that will I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life…” (Psalm 27:4) Notice…His greatest desire was no longer escape. It was encounter. Something beautiful happens when God’s presence becomes sweeter than His promises. The waiting room becomes a meeting room. The delay becomes a place of communion. The silence becomes a sanctuary. Eventually, you discover that the greatest miracle was never the answer itself. It was that somewhere in the waiting… God became enough. Stay Refreshed!

Note This:
The waiting season reaches its highest purpose when your heart begins to say, “Even if nothing changes, I still have You.”

Responsibility:
Spend time in God’s presence today without bringing a list of requests. Simply sit before Him, worship Him, and allow your heart to enjoy His companionship.

Prayer:
Father, teach my heart to delight in You more than in the things I ask from You. Let Your presence become my greatest treasure, Your voice my deepest comfort, and Your fellowship my daily joy. May I never love Your gifts more than I love You. Draw me so close that even while I am waiting, my soul can truly say, “The Lord is my portion.” In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Prophetic Declaration:
The Lord is my portion and my inheritance. My heart is finding its satisfaction in His presence, and my soul is anchored in His love. Whether I receive the answer today or tomorrow, I have already found the greatest treasure—I have found Christ. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
