There will be moments in our lives where God will use circumstances to develop our character, especially in the areas that we need to grow. It is called “The Test”. Passing these tests will help us mature and be prepared for what God has in our future, a successful and abundant life. So, in this series, we shall be looking at various kinds of tests, the nature of the tests, the reason and why we are being tested, and what we must do to pass the test.

SCRIPTURE: “Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live! (Deut. 30:19 NLT)

REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: Most of the uncomfortable things that happen to us, we go through them in life, and we don’t like them are the tests– People hating you for no just cause. I mean someone you didn’t know before, and seeing you for the first time, snaps at you, mark it, it is a test. A colleague being on your nerves and bent to provoke you at any slimmest opportunity, it’s a test. Your boss at the office taunts and yells at you always, and no matter what you have done to remedy the situation, all to no avail—it is a test. And very many other instances that happen to us.

But, beloved, the key is, the access to the next level of your life depends on your response to these tests. And until you passed the test, you may never get to the next in life. God is not wicked. He’s preparing you into your destiny. He wants the best for you and would like to bring out the best in you. You don’t know what is in you until you’re put under pressure. We will continue tomorrow, but till then, Stay Refreshed!

NOTE THIS: God doesn’t just test any man, He tests a man of great value and importance to Him, to prepare him into his destiny.

RESPONSIBILITY: So, see challenges as an opportunity to grow into your future.

PRAYER: O LORD, give me the grace to pass every test of life, and lead me into my destiny, in the name of Jesus’ Amen! (Go ahead and pray for other intentions as the Spirit leads)

PROPHETIC WORD: Receive the grace to pass every test of life and finish strong, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
