UNTIL THE GLORY RETURNS (6)

Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional

Date: Monday, 5 May 2025

Focus: Glory That Transforms

Message:

There is no tragedy greater than the absence of God’s glory—and no restoration more glorious than its return. In 1 Samuel 4, the ark was captured, the priests fell, and a child was named Ichabod—a prophetic cry that “the glory has departed.” It was a moment of deep national and spiritual loss. But Ichabod is not where the story ends. God is still searching for altars to rest upon… for lives that burn in holiness… for voices that cry out, “Bring the glory back!” This devotional series is a cry for restoration. A call to rebuild what has been broken. It’s not about performance. It’s not about noise. It’s about His presence—tangible, holy, consuming.

📖 Key Verse:

1 Samuel 4:21 – “She named the boy Ichabod, saying, ‘The glory has departed from Israel.’”

Devotional:

When the glory of God truly comes, it never leaves you the same. Glory is not just a feeling, a mist, or a spiritual high—it’s the weight of God’s presence that transforms hearts, minds, and lives. In 2 Corinthians 3:18, Paul wrote that we are “being transformed into His image from glory to glory.” This is the divine pattern: God reveals His glory, and we become more like Him. Real glory does not entertain—it convicts, heals, breaks pride, and births purpose.

📖 Scripture Reading:

Isaiah 6:1–8 – “Woe to me!… my eyes have seen the King.”

💧 Refreshing for the Day:

Beloved, when you encounter the glory, you love what He loves, hate what He hates, and hunger for more of Him. You can’t remain bitter in glory. You can’t remain lukewarm in glory. You can’t remain bound in glory. His glory doesn’t come to impress—it comes to transform. So, don’t seek goosebumps—seek transformation. Ask the Lord to let His glory change your character, habits, and desires. Stay Refreshed!

Note This:

If glory hasn’t changed you—it hasn’t touched you yet.

🛡️ Responsibilities:

  1. Surrender one area today that needs to be shaped into Christ’s image.
  2. Spend time in His presence asking for deep inward change.

🙏 Prayer:

Lord, don’t just visit—transform me. Make me more like You. Let Your glory uproot everything in me that doesn’t reflect You. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

🔥 Prophetic Declaration:

I am being transformed from glory to glory! The weight of His presence is reshaping me for revival and destiny! Alleluia!
