UNTIL THE GLORY RETURNS (4)
Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional
Date: Saturday, 3 May 2025
Focus: Preparing a Place for the Glory
Message:
There is no tragedy greater than the absence of God’s glory—and no restoration more glorious than its return. In 1 Samuel 4, the ark was captured, the priests fell, and a child was named Ichabod—a prophetic cry that “the glory has departed.” It was a moment of deep national and spiritual loss. But Ichabod is not where the story ends. God is still searching for altars to rest upon… for lives that burn in holiness… for voices that cry out, “Bring the glory back!” This devotional series is a cry for restoration. A call to rebuild what has been broken. It’s not about performance. It’s not about noise. It’s about His presence—tangible, holy, consuming.
📖 Key Verse:
1 Samuel 4:21 – “She named the boy Ichabod, saying, ‘The glory has departed from Israel.’”
Devotional:
The glory of God doesn’t fall randomly—it rests on places that have been prepared. In 2 Chronicles 5:13–14, the glory of the Lord filled the temple after the priests consecrated themselves, the people worshiped in unity, and the house was set in order. Glory doesn’t rest on chaos, compromise, or cluttered hearts. It rests on: clean hands and pure hearts, reverence and expectation, obedience and alignment. When we prepare the temple, God fills it. When we purify our lives, the weight of His glory returns.
📖 Scripture Reading:
Isaiah 40:3 – “Prepare the way for the Lord…”
💧 Refreshing for the Day:
Beloved, we cannot pray for revival and live in disorder. God is holy—and He comes where He is honored. So, today, prepare your heart. Clear the clutter. Raise the standard. The glory is coming! Ask the Holy Spirit: “Is my life a place where glory can rest?” Make room. Rearrange. Consecrate. Prepare. Stay Refreshed!
✨ Note This:
🔥 The weight of God’s glory only rests where He is welcomed.
🛡️ Responsibility:
- Clean out distractions and idols.
- Dedicate time to personal consecration today.
🙏 Prayer:
Father, I want to be a resting place for Your glory. Show me anything that hinders You from coming. Prepare me, purify me, and possess me. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
🔥 Prophetic Declaration:
I am a holy temple! My life is prepared! I make room for the glory of God to return and dwell! Alleluia!
