Devotional:
When Christ is being formed in you, it produces visible fruit. Spiritual maturity is not proven by spiritual gifts, but by spiritual fruit. Gifts can operate in immature believers, but fruit only grows in surrendered hearts. Galatians 5:22–23 lists the fruit of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. This is the evidence of Christ’s life fully alive in you. The world isn’t looking for more gifted Christians—it’s desperate for people who live like Jesus. Your love in conflict, your patience in trials, your joy in uncertainty, your peace in storms—these all testify that Christ is being formed in you.
