UNTIL CHRIST BE FORMED IN YOU (2)

Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional

Date: Monday, 16 June 2025

Topic: Until Christ Be Formed in You (2)

Focus: Crucifying the Old Nature

🔥 Message:

Spiritual maturity is not about doing more—it’s about becoming more like Christ. This series is a journey from self to surrender, from outer appearance to inner transformation. It’s about allowing the Holy Spirit to shape our hearts, refine our character, and form the image of Christ in every part of our lives. Whether you’re in the fire of refinement or the quiet process of pruning, God is working to form Christ in you—until your life reflects His.

📖 Key Verse:

Galatians 4:19 – “My dear children, for whom I am again in the pains of childbirth until Christ is formed in you.”

Devotional:
One of the greatest hindrances to Christ being fully formed in us is the flesh—our old nature that resists the Spirit of God. The process of transformation will always involve death to self. You cannot walk in resurrection power without first going through the cross. Paul said in Galatians 2:20, “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me.” That’s not poetry—it’s a lifestyle. Every day, we are called to deny ourselves, take up our cross, and follow Him (Luke 9:23).

📖 Scripture Reading:

Romans 6:6 – “For we know that our old self was crucified with Him…”

💧 Refreshing for the Day:

Beloved, Christ cannot be formed in us if self is still on the throne. Your opinions, your preferences, your ego—they all must bow. The goal is not just a better version of you—it’s none of you, and all of Him. Transformation starts with surrender. So, ask the Lord: What in me needs to die so that Christ can truly live in me? Stay Refreshed!

Note This:

You can’t carry your cross and your crown at the same time.

🛡️ Responsibility:

Identify one area of your life today that is still ruled by self (pride, fear, control, comfort). Lay it down before the Lord and invite His Spirit to reign there instead.

🙏 Prayer:

Lord, I surrender. Crucify every part of me that stands in the way of Your fullness. Let my life be a resting place for Christ, not my old self. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

🔥 Prophetic Declaration:

My old nature is nailed to the cross. I walk in newness of life. Christ is taking over every part of me—mind, will, and emotions. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

📖 Bible Texts:
