TRUSTING IN GOD’S PROVISION (4)
TIMES OF REFRESHING DAILY DEVOTIONAL www.thefountspring.org
DATE: SATURDAY, 4 MAY 2024
So, still on surrendering your worries and letting go of anxiety; when we worry about tomorrow’s needs, we are essentially saying that we don’t trust God to provide for us. We forget that the same God who feeds the birds of the air and clothes the lilies of the field (Matthew 6:26) is also our loving Heavenly Father who cares for us deeply. Our worries reveal a lack of faith in His provision and a failure to acknowledge His sovereignty over our lives.
SCRIPTURE: “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” – 1 Peter 5:7 (NIV)
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: Letting go of anxiety requires a conscious decision to place our trust in God, knowing that He cares for us deeply and is more than capable of meeting our needs. It means surrendering our worries and fears to God, casting all our anxieties on Him because He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7). It’s a daily practice of releasing control and resting in the assurance of God’s faithfulness and love. Stay Refreshed!
NOTE THIS: Trusting in God’s provision isn’t always easy, but it is always worth it.
RESPONSIBILITY: So, as we choose to rely on God, let us be encouraged to bring all our anxieties before Him in prayer. Let us release them into His capable hands and experience the peace that comes from trusting in His care and provision.
PRAYER: Heavenly Father, give us the strength to let go of anxiety and to place our trust fully in You. Help us to fix our eyes on You, the author and perfecter of our faith, knowing that You hold our lives in Your hands. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
PROPHETIC WORD: As we surrender our worries to Jesus, may we continually seek His kingdom and trust in His provision, knowing that He is faithful to fulfill His promises. In the name of Jesus, Amen!
BIBLE TEXTS: 1 Peter 5:7, Matthew 6:26; 27; 33
