THE WAY OF ESCAPE
TIMES OF REFRESHING ONLINE DAILY DEVOTIONAL
DATE: WEDNESDAY 3 MARCH 2021
We all face pressure in life and there are times where we could feel overwhelmed: the hardship looks too big; the insecurity risk increases every day. We thought this whole trouble would be over by now. It’s easy to feel like it’s too much, that we can’t take it anymore. But the scripture says in (Isaiah 43:16), God will make a way for you, where there’s no way.
When you feel overwhelmed, like the pressure is too much, don’t worry God knew you even when you were still in your mother’s womb, (Jer. 1:5). He knew what pressures you would face: financial pressure, relationship pressure, pressure raising children, pressure dealing with an illness. And God loves you. If that pressure was going to crush you, if it was going to be unbearable, then God wouldn’t have allowed it.
SCRIPTURE: …but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it, (1 Corinthians 10:13) NKJV
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: If God would allow it, He will surely make a way for its escape.
It may seem unbearable, but the fact that God allowed it means that you can handle it. From our anchor scripture, He didn’t say he’d make a way of escape so you could run from it, so you could dodge or avoid it, no. He said “So you can bear it”. You can look back at times where you didn’t think you could go on, the pressure seemed unbearable, it looked as if the whole world would crumble on you, but somehow it didn’t defeat you. God made a way of escape for you.
Beloved, God designed you to handle that pressure. He wouldn’t have allowed you to get in it, if he hadn’t already put in you what you needed to handle it. God will always make a way of escape for you. You will always be able to bear whatever challenge that comes your way. Stay Refreshed!
NOTE THIS: If God would allow it, He will surely make a way for its escape.
RESPONSIBILITY: Trust in God at all times.
PRAYER: O LORD, thank you for your Word. I trust you will make a way of escape from all my challenges, in the name of Jesus’ Amen! (Go ahead and continue to pray)
PROPHETIC WORD: Troubles and challenges of life will never defeat you, in the name of Jesus, Amen.
