THE THRESHOLD – DON’T STOP AT THE DOOR, STEP IN (1)

Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional

Date: Wednesday, 23 April 2025

Focus: The Doorway Is Not the Destination

Message:

Many linger at the threshold of revival but never step all the way in. This is a push into the Holy of Holies, into divine possession.

Key Verse:

📖 Key Verse: Ezekiel 47:5 – “The water had risen and was deep enough to swim in—a river that no one could cross.”

Devotional:

In Ezekiel 47, the prophet is led through a vision of a river flowing from the temple of God. At first, the water is ankle-deep, then knee-deep, then waist-deep—until it becomes a river so deep, you can only swim. This vision mirrors our spiritual journey. Many stop where it feels safe: ankle-deep comfort or knee-deep routine. But God is calling us beyond the threshold—into the deep.

📖 Scripture Reading:

Ezekiel 47:1–6
Psalm 42:7 – “Deep calls unto deep in the roar of Your waterfalls…”

💧 Refreshing for the Day:

Beloved, the threshold is where many stop: impressed with the flow, yet unwilling to dive in. But the threshold is not the goal. It is the gateway to fullness. To revival. To surrender. To glory. So, don’t admire the water—step in. Don’t just clap for revival—carry it. Don’t settle for visitation—go for habitation. Ask the Holy Spirit: “Have I stopped at the threshold?” Am I comfortable with shallow waters when God is calling me into the deep? Take one bold step today toward deeper surrender. Stay Refreshed!

Note This:

The doorway is not your destiny—it’s your invitation.

🛡️ Responsibilities:

  1. Identify one area in your walk where you’ve played it safe.
  2. Commit to going deeper—whether it’s in prayer, worship, obedience, or faith.

🙏 Prayer:

Lord, I don’t want to live ankle-deep when You’ve called me into the depths. I repent for standing at the threshold. Today, I step forward. Take me deeper. Immerse me in Your glory. In Jesus; name, Amen!

🔥 Prophetic Declaration:

I will not stop at the door! I will step in! I am going deeper. I was made for the river of His presence—not the edges! Alleluia!

📖 Bible Texts:
